About Tartesso

A sports park, splash pads and mountain views in west Buckeye

Tartesso is a master-planned community in west Buckeye, 3.5 miles off Interstate 10 on Sun Valley Parkway, in the shadow of the White Tank Mountains. Building began in the 2005 boom, with Pulte among the original builders, and D.R. Horton built the newer phases after 2016.

The Tartesso Community Association runs the parks: a sports park with ball fields, soccer fields and courts, plus neighborhood parks, greenbelts and splash pads. There is no community pool, and many homes have a private one. No builder is selling new homes inside Tartesso right now, while new construction goes up next door in Teravalis; if you are weighing new against resale, read my guide to buying new construction.

Michelle Seymour

“Tartesso is where buyers get the most space for their money in Buckeye. You will find bigger lots, room for a pool or an RV gate, mountain views and dark night skies, with parks, sports fields and trails throughout. It is a little farther out, so the closest shopping is off Watson Road in Buckeye, but new commercial development keeps moving west. For relocating buyers who want room to breathe at a lower price point, it is a community I always show, and it is an easier commute for anyone working at the Palo Verde Generating Station.”

Relocating to Arizona

Moving here from out of state?

Moving to Arizona? Tartesso is about 59 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and about 41 miles west of downtown Phoenix. Many of my buyers relocate from California, the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest, and plenty close before they ever visit.

Tartesso is also one of the easier Buckeye commutes to the Palo Verde Generating Station: about 39 minutes, compared with about 47 from Verrado.

I will tour homes with you on live video or FaceTime, give you honest feedback on every street and floor plan, and coordinate inspections and closing while you are still at home.
