About Sundance

55+ and all-age neighborhoods around a golf club and a park

Sundance has a 55+ section, Sundance Adult Village with about 1,100 homes, and all-age neighborhoods in the same community, each with its own homeowners association. It is built around the public Sundance Golf Club, south of Interstate 10 and about two miles from the Costco and new shopping at Verrado Way.

On its south edge, the City of Buckeye’s Sundance Park grew to 68 acres in 2023, with the city’s first public fishing lake, a splash pad, lighted basketball courts and sports fields. For the bigger picture on the city, read Moving to Buckeye: Pros and Cons.

Michelle Seymour

“Sundance is one of the best values in Buckeye. You get an 18-hole golf course, a big community park and low HOA dues, all just a few minutes from Costco, Home Depot and Sprouts, plenty of shops and restaurants, and now medical care too. It has great freeway access to I-10 and is minutes from the 303, and it is one of the few communities with both an age-restricted adult village and all-age neighborhoods, so loved ones can live close by. For relocating buyers who want more home for their budget, I always include Sundance in the tour.”

Relocating to Arizona

Moving here from out of state?

Moving to Arizona? Sundance is about 48 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and about 30 miles west of downtown Phoenix. Many of my buyers relocate from California, the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest, and plenty close before they ever visit.

I will tour homes with you on live video or FaceTime, give you honest feedback on every street and floor plan, and coordinate inspections and closing while you are still at home.

Questions

Questions I hear most about Sundance

Is Sundance a 55+ community?

Partly. Sundance Adult Village is the 55+ section, with about 1,100 homes, and the rest of Sundance is open to all ages. I can tell you which section a home is in before you see it.

What do homes cost in Sundance?

As of November 2026, homes for sale in Sundance’s neighborhoods run from about $255,000 to $650,000. Prices change with the market, and the Adult Village and the all-age neighborhoods price a little differently, so I send a current list for the section you like.

What are HOA fees in Sundance?

Sundance has three homeowners associations, so dues vary by neighborhood. Most homes run about $100 to $175 a month, and Sundance Adult Village dues are $346.60 a quarter. I confirm the exact amount for any home you are considering.

What are the pros and cons of Sundance?

Pros: Strong value for the price; a golf course and a large park; lower HOA dues; close to I-10 and the 303 Freeway, plus Costco, Home Depot, Safeway and Sprouts; a choice of age-restricted or all-age neighborhoods.

Cons: Older homes than in newer master plans, so some may need updating; fewer resort-style amenities than larger 55+ communities; the commute to central Phoenix and the airport can be long during rush hour on I-10; summer heat, like all of the Phoenix area.

Which schools serve Sundance?

Most of Sundance is in the Buckeye Elementary School District, zoned to Sundance Elementary north of Yuma Road and Inca Elementary south of it. The east edge is in the Liberty Elementary School District (Freedom Elementary). All of Sundance is zoned to Youngker High School.

Can you help me buy if I live out of state?

Yes. Most of my clients relocate. I tour homes on live video, send honest feedback, and coordinate inspections, paperwork and closing remotely. Many of my buyers close before they ever visit.

How do I see homes for sale in Sundance?

Use the Sundance searches above, which update throughout the day, or reach out and I will set up a search for the neighborhoods you like.
